Renault Wind (w/ Video)

French automaker Renault announced it will unveil the all-new Wind coupé-roadster at the forthcoming Geneva motor show, and these are the first photos.

With the Wind, Renault aims to appeal to motorists who lust after a car that is not only distinctive and compact, but also convertible and practical enough for everyday use, the company says.

The two-seater measures less than four meters in length and features an innovative new roof - similar to that of the Ferrari 575 Superamerica - that pivots open in just 12 seconds. The automaker claims that the new car's compact dimensions make it nimble enough to maneuver around town while still providing 270 liters of luggage space, whether the roof is up or down.

Renault has yet to reveal any images of the interior, but insiders say it will be decidedly sporty.

We'll bring you more information and our own exclusive images of the Wind when we see it in the metal in Geneva. Until then, check out the teaser video to the right to see the top in motion.
